Spears are good as well, they have range which other melee dont have, hit Very hard with power attacks but the normal attack is less powerful and doesnt stagger as often. It's funny looting a fridge, getting the exp of a zombie you left in a room. Close the door behind you and keep looting while the zombies die without you being there.
